SIMILE

      A simile is a comparison between two different things using the word "like" or "as" to make the comparison. Similes are generally easier to identify thanmetaphors, but not always. 

 Common Examples of Simile

• her cheecks are red like a rose.
• he is as funny as a monkey.
• the water well was as dry as a bone.
